Still busy stitching! Custom orders for applique patches are flooding in - I make more patches than dolls these days!

I made sure I found time to create the Penguin Power Bobsleigh Team which is my entry for the Schmancy Plush Olympics. I'm hoping to win a Plush Medal for it - fingers crossed.....

Lots of Donkey Patches - my customer liked them so much she ordered some more!

I made a whole batch of these cute Matryoshkas - they're going to be attached to hair clips in Australia.

Yet again I've been spending too much time stitching and not enough time updating my site! Here's all the latest from FeltLikeStitchin so far this year.....

There's a brand new range of Alice in Wonderland DiDi Dolls now available in my Etsy shop.

Alice, the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit are all hand stitched from felt and I've got to say they're my favourite ever DiDi Dolls.

I've been busy with custom orders too over the last few weeks, lots of applique patches. If you'd like to order any of these patches please feel free to contact me.

 I made another batch of extra cute patches for my regular Texas boutique owner.

So many pretty pink cupcakes! These will be embellishing a little girl's blanket and curtains.

These gorgeous matryoshkas are going to be attached to a pair of woollen boots - my customers are wonderfully inventive!

Sorry for the lack of recent updates - I've been busy stitching and shipping all my Christmas orders! Things have settled down a little now so I can start planning lots of exciting new projects for 2010.

It's full of fun quirky fabric covered buttons - they're great for sewing on your projects or making hair bobbles, jewellery or bookmarks.

I'm having great fun choosing colourful Japanese fabrics to create the buttons - watch out for lots more new designs coming very soon!

The big news this month is I finally got round to starting a blog! It's all about my latest stitching adventures and as time goes on I'll be adding some free patterns and tutorials so it's definitely worth a look - you can find it here.

Coral the Mermaid is probably the most beautiful DiDi Doll I've ever stitched. You can find out about the creative processes involved in her design on my new blog.

Here's a brand new ornament for Christmas 2009, available exclusively in my Etsy shop. Up to 5 names can be added to the tree to make it a special family keepsake. This would make a great gift for grandparents or aunties!

Here's a very special custom order I've just completed.

Each piece has a velcro dot on the back and they will all be stuck on a bedroom wall which is decorated with a painted tree. I had great fun making them and will be adding some of these pieces to my shop very soon!

This is another custom order - an applique patch based on Ursula the mermaid DiDi Doll!

This funky felt key ring is brand new in my Etsy shop. The classic Union Jack design is given a summery twist in bright turquoise, cerise and yellow.

Cross Patch Kits

These unique kits feature a hand stitched felt bag with a special felt tag. Inside you'll find everything you need to make your own patches, keyrings and badges to decorate your bag, including instructions and templates. They're a great fun idea to get children designing and stitching.

You might have noticed I've been a bit slow at updating my website this month - that's because I've been busy stitching 210 applique patches for a childrens' clothing boutique in Texas! It's been my biggest stitching challenge so far - I was even dreaming about little felt lollipops!

February 2009

Check out the Cross Stitch page for the chance to buy some of my Cross Stitch designs and help Save the Children. My charts are available as pdf files with every penny going towards buying items from the Save the Children Wishlist. The first target is to buy 4 saplings to enable a family to plant some trees and become self sufficient - I'd love to raise enough to buy the whole Wishlist eventually!

More super cute patches! These were created for a lovely customer in Switzerland - I had great fun stitching them.

Just an update about the OzBushfireAppeal shop - the little Babushka DiDi Doll sold within 2 minutes of listing! I've also sold a mermaid doll, a penguin keyring, 3 applique patches and 2 sets of cross stitch charts, raising $48.50 (about £33) for the appeal. The whole shop has raised thousands of dollars so far for the Australian Red Cross. It's open until the end of March so there's still time to help - I still have a few cross stitch charts for sale on there so you can help me raise even more for this worthy cause!

If you've heard about the terrible bush fires in southern Australia and you'd like to do something to help, why not check out OzBushfireAppeal. Here's a picture of my prettiest, cutest order! I just finished stitching these iron-on applique patches for a wholesale order and I totally fell in love with the gorgeous colours. I might have to stitch some more to list in my shop.

My New Year's Resolution was to revamp my website, and I've started by streamlining the site and overhauling the Shop pages. I've added a much wider range of FeltLikeStitchin products for sale right here, including dolls, applique patches, phone charms and much more!

I'm delighted that I'm now able to offer Udderly Smooth Hand Cream in my shop.

It was originally developed to keep cows' udders healthy but was found to have the added effect of giving the farmers lovely soft hands!

It's great for stitchers because it's non-greasy and won't stain the fabric when you're working - I use it every single day to keep my hands in good condition so I can keep on stitching!

For the first time DiDi Dolls are available in Sweden! I've just sent a massive order to Larry's Corner in Stockholm, including a set of custom made plush versions of the store logo.

If you're in Middlesborough on 15th November you can take a look at my Russian Dolls. They'll be at the Designers Market on the Hunkydory Home stand - while you're there check out the rest of the funky Hunkydory products too!

And finally if you're anywhere near Leigh-on-Sea there's a Craft Fair at the Southend Community College campus on 22nd November, with a special stall featuring items from Etsy shops. I've sent along some mobile phone charms and Mini Monster Keyrings so if you're looking for a last minute stocking filler you might find just what you're looking for!

This Gingerbread House is definitely one-of-a-kind! I got carried away with the embellishments, using multi-coloured buttons and beads to make it look good enough to eat.

Here's my latest Christmas creation!

This cute reindeer can be personalised and is also available in alternative colours. He even has a ribbon loop so you can hang him on your tree! Look out for him in my Etsy store.

Great news! My Russian Dolls are now available at Hunkydory Home, an amazing site with some gorgeous retro style cushions and lampshades. They're expanding their funky site with a new range of gifts, including my dolls. I've even introduced a brand new colour scheme which will be available exclusively on the site, in sets of 3 or 5 dolls.

The Christmas Section is now available in my Etsy store, and so far I've added 2 brand new ornaments for 2008, with more coming soon.

These are just a few of the fun hand stitched felt charms now available - they come attached to a phone strap so they're ready to use.

I've just added a new range of mini iron-on applique patches to my Etsy store - so far I've made cupcakes, toadstools and strawberries, with more to come!

There's a new craft contest taking place to help raise awareness of global warming and carbon emissions. Creativity 350 is open to crafters from all countries and there are some great prizes to be won. I've just finished stitching a brand new DiDi Doll - Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's - here she is complete with diamonds and pearls.

 I think she turned out great!

I've added one of my DiDi Dolls to the Etsy for Charity shop.

When Jenni is sold all the proceeds will go to the chosen charity of the month - in June it's UNICEF. The shop is crammed with loads of great items all donated by Etsy sellers so you can treat yourself and help a good cause at the same time!

The Crammed Organisms Show has started in St Louis.

I've opened a Cafe Press store featuring pictures of DiDi Dolls on badges, mugs, notecards and more. The store is still under construction and I will be adding more products soon. If you'd like to see your favourite DiDi Doll printed on a particular item feel free to contact me.
